The\nprogram which will run for three years, is an initiative of the Gabonese\nGovernment, funded by the European Union and falls within the framework of\nthe 11th European Development Fund (EDF). It has an overall objective of\nsupporting young people to better integrate into the world of work. JA Gabon will\nset up a network of incubators in all nine\nregions of the country to support the running of the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The partnership underlines the growing relationship between Gabon and\nthe European Union, and their objective to make young people the engine of\ngrowth for the country. The two partnership objectives are to help\nvulnerable young people obtain decent jobs and to bridge the gaps between\ntraining and youth employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nPrime Minister of Gabon, Mr. Julien Nkoghe Bekale, at the signing ceremony for\nthe partnership, said<em>, \u201cIn this\nproject, the aim is to train young people aged 16 to 35, and to link JA Gabon with\na large number of partners including universities, technical institutions, vocational\ntraining centers, public administrations and economic operators.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program will target\n17,000 young people who are out of school, in university or looking for work\nacross the country. JA Gabon, through the incubators situated in technical high\nschools, vocational training centers and universities, will run the JA Career Success\u00ae and JA Company Program\u00ae for the\nbeneficiaries.
