The week reflected a shared commitment to equipping children and youth with practical financial skills that will shape their futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Uganda, activities began at Buganda Road Primary School, where pupils explored the basics of money and the principles of earning, saving, spending, and donating. The conversations continued at Ntinda and Phimose Primary Schools, with support from the National Social Security Fund Uganda Financial Literacy Program. Learners actively participated, asking thoughtful questions and sharing ideas on how to manage money responsibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1434\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.ja-africa.org\/backend\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/SnapInsta.to_653578496_18136234222515295_8270572828416242117_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10438\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ghana, students at Mataheko Primary School B took part in an engaging financial literacy session focused on saving, budgeting, and making informed financial decisions. Delivered in collaboration with Girls Education Initiative Ghana, the session reinforced the importance of building financial confidence from an early age. JA Ghana also launched <em>Smart Money Talk<\/em>, an engaging youth conversation during Global Money Week 2026, where young voices break down real money challenges and share smarter ways to manage money. The conversation is now available on YouTube, extending its reach beyond the classroom (see playlist <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLaKeVNufv_2V2jK58-6ZZXH-pXjRXdVrq&amp;si=Zx0xEVaU1vfoF1bm\">here<\/a><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.ja-africa.org\/backend\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/SnapInsta.to_655923091_18409302973135484_8706316506272083484_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10434\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>South Africa focused on extending financial knowledge beyond the classroom by sharing practical money tips throughout the week and hosting a financial literacy webinar on <em>Financial Health as Africa\u2019s Economic Structure<\/em>, connecting personal financial habits to broader economic resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.ja-africa.org\/backend\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/SnapInsta.to_652123508_18363014497205157_4365801593027382784_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10435\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In Mauritius, financial literacy was amplified through daily digital engagement, with tips shared on social media to reach young audiences in accessible, relatable ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eswatini brought a creative dimension to Global Money Week through national competitions. High school students were invited to produce short plays on themes such as smart money habits and fraud awareness, while primary school learners participated in a \u201cMoney Superhero\u201d challenge, designing characters that promote positive financial behaviors. These initiatives encouraged creativity while reinforcing critical financial concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the region, one message remained clear.
