JA Nigeria and WIMBIZ (Women in Management, Business, and Public Service) are excited to launch the BIG SISTER Program, a beacon of hope for young ladies in Senior Secondary Schools across Nigeria. This initiative offers an unparalleled opportunity to be mentored by some of the most accomplished women in various fields.
The Big Sister Program is designed to enrich and empower girls between the ages of 14 and 18 from public secondary schools, equipping them with life skills that will enhance their confidence and leadership potential. By preparing them for post-secondary education, the program lays a solid foundation for their future success.

At the inaugural sessions held at Wesley Girls High School and Lagos City College, the program addressed crucial topics such as self-esteem, career planning, financial responsibility, personal well-being, and navigating peer influence. The infectious energy and enthusiasm displayed by the young girls clearly demonstrated the transformative power of mentorship.
This partnership enhances the development of the girl child and our collective ambition to prepare these young women for a world filled with possibilities. The Big Sister Program promises to be a life-changing experience for both the mentors and their mentees, paving the way for these young girls to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
